OVERHAUL

HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed are for the LH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback spring, seat adjuster and seat cushion spring may injure your hands.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screwdriver, pry out the 4 seat track bracket covers.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the 4 bolts.
c. Disconnect the connectors under the seat. Then remove the seat.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.





3. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH
a. Raise the reclining adjuster release handle to reveal the claw. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the release handle.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
a. Using a screwdriver, pry out the 2 switch knobs.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER NO.1 LH
a. Remove the screw.
b. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the cushion shield.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




6. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER LH
a. Remove the 4 screws.
b. Disconnect the lumbar front power seat switch connector. Then remove the adjuster cover.




7. REMOVE LUMBAR FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH
a. Remove the 2 screws and switch.

8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Disconnect the connectors and detach the clamps.
b. Remove the nut and inner belt.




9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER LH
a. Remove the 3 screws.
b. Using a screwdriver, detach the 5 claws and remove the cushion shield.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




10. REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER BEZEL LH

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

a. Using a screwdriver, detach the claws and remove the reclining remote control lever knob.
b. Using a screwdriver, detach the 5 claws and remove the lever bezel.




11. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the 2 screws.
b. Pull the seatback board downward to detach the 2 hooks. Then, remove the seatback board.

12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connector and detach the clamp.
b. Remove the 4 bolts and seat cushion.




13. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the hog rings.
b. Disconnect the connectors and detach the clamps.
c. Disconnect the reclining remote control lever cable from the seat adjuster.
d. Remove the 4 bolts and seatback.

14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT
a. Detach the claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.




16. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD
a. Remove the 4 bolts and seatback board.

17. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER
a. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover (together with the pad) from the seatback spring.
b. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover from the seatback pad.

18. REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
a. Remove the 2 bolts and control lever.

19. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 bolts, spacer and adjuster.

20. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 3 screws and power seat switch.

21. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH
a. Remove the 2 screws and inside cover.

22. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH
a. Remove the 2 screws and inside cover.

23. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER
a. Remove the hog rings and cushion cover (together with the pad) from the seat cushion spring.
b. Remove the hog rings and cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.

24. REMOVE POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connectors.
b. Remove the 8 screws and 4 power seat motors.




25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, avoid making wrinkles.

a. Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with new hog rings.
b. Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover (with pad) to the seat cushion spring with new hog rings.

26. INSTALL RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the control lever with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)

27. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER

NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, avoid making wrinkles.

a. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with new hog rings.
b. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover (with pad) to the seatback spring with new hog rings.

28. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
a. Install the seatback with the 4 bolts.

Torque: 43 N.m (439 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf)

b. Connect the reclining remote control lever cable to the seat adjuster.
c. Attach the clamp and connect the connectors.
d. Install the hog rings and fully install the seatback cover.

29. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
a. Install the seat cushion with the 4 bolts.

Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)

b. Attach the clamp and connect the connectors.

30. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
a. Install the inner belt with the nut.

Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

b. Attach the clamp and connect the connectors.

31. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
a. Place the seat in the cabin.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

b. Connect the connector under the seat.
c. Install the seat with the 4 bolts.

Torque: 37 N.m (377 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)

d. Install the 4 seat track covers.

32. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

33. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

34. CHECK SRS WARNING LAMP
