Rear Seat:
OVERHAUL
HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.
1. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
a. Detach the seat cushion's 2 front hooks from the vehicle body.
NOTE: Follow the instructions carefully as the cushion frame deforms easily.
1. Choose a hook to detach first. Place your hands near the hook as shown in the illustration. Then lift the seat cushion to detach the hook.
2. Repeat for the other hook.
b. Detach the seat cushion's 2 rear hooks from the seatback.
c. Remove the seat cushion.
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE COVER
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 8 claws and remove the 2 plate covers.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
3. REMOVE WIND DEFLECTOR BOARD ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 bolts and deflector board.
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE
a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 clips and 8 claws. Then remove the 2 headrest plates.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
5. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 nuts and 2 headrests.
6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and seatback.
7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER
a. Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.
8. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER
a. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover from the seatback pad.
9. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER
a. Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with new hog rings.
NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, avoid making wrinkles.
10. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER
a. Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with new hog rings.
NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the cover.
- When installing the hog rings, avoid making wrinkles.
11. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
a. Install the seatback with the 2 nuts and 2 bolts.
Torque: 18 N.m (184 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)
12. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
a. Install the 2 headrests with the 4 nuts.
Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf)
13. INSTALL WIND DEFLECTOR BOARD ASSEMBLY
a. Install the deflector board with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf)
14. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
a. Attach the seat cushion's 2 rear hooks to the seatback.
b. Attach the seat cushion's 2 front hooks to the vehicle body.
c. Confirm that the seat cushion is firmly installed.
