Parking Brake System: Adjustments
ADJUSTMENT1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE
3. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
a. Install the wheel with the 5 nuts.
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.)
b. Install the ornament with the 10 bolts.
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft. lbs.)
4. CHECK PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL
a. Depress the pedal with a force of approximately 300 N (30.6 kgf, 44 lbs.) and count the number of clicks.
OK: 7 to 9 clicks
5. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL
a. Remove the instrument panel safety pad No. 1.
b. Loosen the lock nut and turn the adjusting nut until the pedal travel is correct.
c. Tighten the lock nut.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 inch lbs.)
d. Install the instrument panel safety pad No. 1.
