Oil Pump Seal Replacement

REPLACEMENT
1. REMOVE TIMING: BELT T





2. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT TIMING PULLEY
a. Using SST, remove the timing pulley.

NOTICE: Do not turn the timing pulley.

SST 09950-50013 (09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05010)





3. REMOVE OIL PUMP SEAL
a. Using a knife, cut off the oil seal lip.
b. Using a screwdriver with its tip taped, pry out the oil seal.
c. After the removal, check if the crankshaft is not damaged.

NOTICE: If it is damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.





4. INSTALL OIL PUMP SEAL
a. Apply MP grease to a new oil seal lip.

NOTICE: Keep the lip free from foreign materials.

b. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal until its surface is flush with the oil pump edge.
SST 09316-60011 (09316-00011)

NOTICE:
^ Wipe off extra grease on the crankshaft.
^ Be careful not to tap the oil seal at an angle.





5. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT TIMING PULLEY
a. Align the timing pulley set key with the key groove of the pulley.
b. Facing the timing pulley's flange side inward. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the timing pulley.

6. INSTALL TIMING BELT
