INSPECTION

1. INSPECT HEADLAMP ASSY




a. Apply battery voltage to the headlamp connector and check that the headlamp illuminates.




If the result is not as specified, replace the lamp assy.

2. INSPECT FRONT FOG LAMP ASSY




a. Apply battery voltage to the front fog lamp connector and check that the front fog lamp illuminates.




If the result is not as specified, replace the lamp assy.

3. INSPECT CLEARANCE LAMP ASSY




a. Apply battery voltage to the clearance lamp connector and check that the clearance lamp illuminates.




If the result is not as specified, replace the lamp assy.

4. INSPECT FRONT TURN SIGNAL LAMP ASSY




a Apply battery voltage to the front turn signal lamp connector and check that the front turn signal lamp illuminates.




If the result is not as specified, replace the lamp assy.

5. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LAMP ASSY




a. Apply battery voltage to the rear combination lamp connector and check that the rear combination lamp illuminates.




If the result is not as specified, replace the lamp assy.

6. INSPECT A/C CONTROL ASSY




a. Measure the resistance of the switch.




If the result is not as specified, replace the A/C control assy.

7. INSPECT FRONT TURN SIGNAL LAMP ASSY




a. Measure the resistance of the switch.




If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assy.

8. INSPECT CENTER STOP LAMP ASSY




a. Apply battery voltage to the center stop lamp connector and check that the center stop lamp illuminates.




If the result is not as specified, replace the lamp assy.

9. INSPECT BACK-UP LAMP ASSY




a. Apply battery voltage to the back-up lamp connector and check that the back-up lamp illuminates.




If the result is not as specified, replace the lamp assy.

10. INSPECT LICENSE PLATE LAMP ASSY




a. Apply battery voltage to the license plate lamp connector and check that the license plate lamp illuminates.




If the result is not as specified, replace the lamp assy.

11. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSY




a. Measure the resistance of the door lock.




If the result is not as specified, replace the door lock assy.

12. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LAMP ASSY NO.1




a. Apply battery voltage to the luggage compartment lamp connector and check that the luggage compartment lamp illuminates.




If the result is not as specified, replace the lamp assy.

13. INSPECT COURTESY LAMP ASSY




a. Apply battery voltage to the door courtesy lamp connector and check door courtesy lamp illuminates.




If the result is not as specified, replace the lamp assy.

14. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY




a. Measure the resistance of the switch.




If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assy.

15. INSPECT FRONT SIDE MARKER LAMP ASSY




a. Apply battery voltage to the front side marker lamp connector and check that the front side marker lamp illuminates.




If the result is not as specified, replace the lamp assy.

16. INSPECT REAR SIDE MARKER LAMP ASSY




a. Apply battery voltage to the rear side marker lamp connector and check that the rear side marker lamp illuminates.




If the result is not as specified, replace the lamp assy.

17. INSPECT HEADLAMP UNIT




a. Measure the resistance of the unit.




If the result is not as specified, replace the unit.

18. INSPECT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSY (FRONT)




a. Connect 3 dry cell batteries (1.5 V) in series.
b. Connect the dry cell battery positive (+) terminal to terminal 1 (SHB) and the negative (-) terminal to terminal 4 (SHG).
c. While slowly moving up and down the link with the voltage being applied, measure the voltage between terminals 2 (SHFL) and 4 (SHG).




If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor sub-assy.

19. INSPECT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSY (REAR)




a. Connect 3 dry cell batteries (1.5 V) in series.
b. Connect the dry cell battery positive (+) terminal to terminal 3 (SHB) and the negative (-) terminal to terminal 1 (SHG).
c. While slowly moving up and down the link with the voltage being applied, measure the voltage between terminals 2 (SHFL) and 1 (SHG).




If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor sub-assy.
