ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION1. Canada: TIGHTEN BOLT AND NUT ON CHASSIS AND BODY
a. Tighten the front seat mounting bolts.
Torque: 37 Nm (375 kgf-cm, 27 ft. lbs.)
b. Tighten the front suspension member-to-body mounting nuts.
Torque: 150 Nm (1,530 kgf-cm, 111 ft. lbs.)
c. Tighten the rear suspension member-to-body mounting bolts.
Torque: 127 Nm (1,300 kgf-cm, 94 ft. lbs.)
2. BODY INSPECTION
a. Check the body exterior for dents, scratches and rust.
b. Check the underbody for rust and damage.
If necessary, replace or repair.
3. ROAD TEST
a. Check the engine and chassis for abnormal noises.
b. Check that the vehicle does not wander or pull to one side.
c. Check that the brakes work properly and do not drag.
d. Raise and lower the parking brake. Check that the parking brake's shoes and drum operate to activate and release the parking brake.
4. REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING FILTER
a. Remove the glove compartment assembly.
b. Remove the filter case from the filter outlet.
c. Remove the filter from the filter case.
d. Replace the filter with a new one.
e. The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order.
5. FINAL INSPECTION
a. Check operation of the body parts below:
^ Hood
^ Auxiliary catch operates properly
^ Hood locks securely when closed
^ Doors
^ Door locks operate properly
^ Doors close properly
^ Luggage compartment door
^ Door lock operates properly
^ Seats
^ Seats adjust easily and lock securely in any position
^ Front seatbacks lock securely in any position
^ Folding-down rear seatbacks lock securely
b. Be sure that the vehicle is clean before returning it to the customer. In particular, pay attention to the following:
^ Steering wheel
^ Shift lever knob
^ All switch knobs
^ Seats
