REGISTRATION1. REGISTER TRANSMITTER ID
a. Set the all tire inflation pressure of all tires to the normal value.
b. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
c. Turn the ignition switch ON.
d. When registering to "MAIN" mode.
1. Select "MAIN" on the hand-held tester.
2. Forcibly transmit the transmitter IDs for all wheels.
HINT:
- The transmitter ID can be transmitted by rapidly reducing the tire inflation pressure.
- When rapidly reducing the pressure, loosen the valve core.
- Increase or decrease the tire inflation pressure by 30 kPa (0.2 kgf/sq.cm, 2.9 psi) or more within 15 seconds for each tire.
3. Make sure that the number of the registered ID is 4.
HINT: If step d.does not complete within 5 minutes, it will return to the normal operation mode. Also, if the number of the registered ID is less than 4 after 5 minutes has elapsed, turning the ignition switch ON will make the tire pressure warning lamp illuminate for 3 seconds, turn off for 0.5 seconds, then illuminate again and remain ON in the normal operation mode.If this happens, registration has failed.Start registration again from the beginning.
e. When registering "2nd" mode.
1. Select "2nd" on the hand-held tester.

Start registration again from the beginning.
f. Check that the last 3 digits of the 4 registered ID codes are different from each other.
g. Setting the inflation pressure of all tires to the normal value completes the transmitter ID registration.
2. CHECK THAT TRANSMITTER BUILT IN VEHICLE IS REGISTERED TO EITHER "MAIN" or "2nd"
a. Set the tire inflation pressure of all tires to the normal value.
b. Set the tire pressure warning switch to "MAIN".
c. Turn the ignition switch ON.
d. Rapidly reduce the inflation pressure of one of the wheels to 120 kPa (1.2 kgf/sq.cm, 17 psi).
HINT: When rapidly reducing the tire inflation pressure, loosen the valve core.
e. Check that the tire pressure warning lamp turns on and the pressure data shows 120 kPa (1.2 kgf/sq.cm, 17 psi) on the hand-held tester. If the result is as specified, the transmitter is registered to "MAIN" mode.If the result is not as specified, set the tire pressure warning switch to "2nd" and perform the same procedure.
If the the result is as specified with the tire pressure warning switch set to "2nd", the transmitter is registered to "2nd" mode.
HINT: If it cannot be registered to either "MAIN" or "2nd", perform troubleshooting according to the Problem Symptoms Table.
