PRECAUTION

NOTE: When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following systems after the cable is reconnected.

1. HANDLING PRECAUTIONS FOR AIRBAG SENSOR

HINT: The airbag sensor assembly center, airbag sensor front LH, airbag sensor front RH, side airbag sensor assembly LH, side airbag sensor assembly RH, door side airbag sensor LH and door side airbag sensor RH are collectively referred to as the airbag sensors.

a. Before starting the following operations, wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from negative (-) battery terminal:

1. Replacement of the airbag sensors.
2. Adjustment of the front doors.

b. When connecting or disconnecting the airbag sensors' connectors, ensure that each sensor is installed in the vehicle.
c. Do not use the airbag sensors if they have been dropped during procedures or transportation.
d. Do not disassemble the airbag sensors.

2. INSPECTION PROCEDURE FOR VEHICLE INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT

a. When the airbag has not deployed, confirm the DTC by checking the SRS warning lamp. If there is any malfunction in the SRS, perform troubleshooting.
b. When any of airbags have deployed, replace the related airbag sensor and inspect its installation condition.
