INSPECTION




1. INSPECT PROGRESSIVE POWER STEERING SOLENOID VALVE ASSEMBLY

a. Check the resistance of the solenoid.
1. Measure the resistance of the solenoid valve.




b. Check operation of the solenoid.

1. Apply battery voltage to the solenoid valve connector and check operation of the power steering solenoid valve.




If the result is not as specified, replace the solenoid valve assembly.

NOTE:
- Do not apply voltage for more than 30 seconds to avoid burnout of the solenoid.
- When performing this step continuously, wait until the solenoid cools down enough so that it can be touched by hand.
