Introduction
The tire pressure sensing transmitters used for the Tire Pressure Warning System equipped on 2002 - 2006 model year SC 430 vehicles need to be activated during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS).
The tire pressure sensing transmitter is built into each tire valve, and the measured tire pressure data is transmitted to each Tire Pressure Warning System antenna by radio signals and then sent to the Tire Pressure Monitor Receiver.
Applicable Vehicles
2002 - 2006 model year SC 430 vehicles.

Activation Procedure
Please activate the tire pressure sensing transmitters during PDS according to the following steps.
1. Set the tire select switch to the "Main" (outer) position.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position and check that the Low Tire Pressure Warning Light comes ON.
3. Rapidly reduce the tire inflation pressure by 2.9 psi (0.2 kgf/sq.cm, 20 kPa) or more within 15 seconds for each tire.
4. After all the tire pressure sensing transmitters are activated, check that the Low Tire Pressure Warning Light goes OFF.
NOTE:
^ If the tire inflation pressure is lower than 26 psi (1.8 kgf/sq.cm, 180 kPa), the Low Tire Pressure Warning Light comes ON as a low pressure warning, even after all the tire pressure sensing transmitters are activated.
^ If the Low Tire Pressure Warning Light does not go OFF after completion of step 3, increase the tire inflation pressure to higher than 30 psi (2.1 kgf/sq.cm, 205 kPa) and check that the Low Tire Pressure Warning Light goes OFF after 10 minutes.
5. Adjust the tire inflation pressure.
Tire inflation pressure: 33 psi
(2.3 kgf/sq.cm, 230 kPa)
