Dimmer Switch: Service and Repair

Light Control Rheostat:

LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH
3. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL LH
4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH
5. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUBASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE




a. Disengage the 4 clips.
b. Disconnect each connector and remove the No. 1 switch hole base.

7. REMOVE LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT




a. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the light control rheostat.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT




a. Engage the 2 claws and install the light control rheostat.

2. INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE

a. Connect each connector.




b. Engage the 4 clips and install the No. 1 switch hole base.

3. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUBASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH
5. INSTALL SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL LH
6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH
7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
