Rear Combination Light Assembly:
REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY
REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed are for the LH side.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
3. REMOVE TOOL BOX
4. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
5. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SIDE RH
6. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SIDE LH
7. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT
8. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 3 nuts and rear combination light.
c. Remove the rear combination light bulb from the rear combination light socket and wire subassembly.
d. Remove the gasket.
NOTE:
- Be sure to remove the gasket completely from the body.
- Be sure to replace it with the supplied rear combination light gasket to prevent water intrusion.
9. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 3 nuts and rear light.
c. Remove the rear light bulb from the rear light socket and wire.
d. Remove the gasket.
NOTE:
- Be sure to remove the gasket completely from the body.
- Be sure to replace it with the supplied rear light gasket to prevent water intrusion.
INSTALLATION
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed are for the LH side.
1. INSTALL REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Install the gasket to the light.
b. Install the light bulb to the light socket and wire.
c. Install the light bulb socket and wire to the rear light.
d. Install the light with the 3 nuts.
e. Connect the connector.
2. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Install the gasket to the combination light.
b. Install the light bulb to the light socket and wire.
c. Install the light bulb socket and wire to the light.
d. Install the rear combination light with the 3 nuts.
3. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT
4. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SIDE LH
5. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER SIDE RH
6. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
7. INSTALL TOOL BOX
8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
9. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.
CAUTION: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
