CRANKSHAFT MAIN BEARING CAP
Install and uniformly tighten the 20 crankshaft bearing cap bolts in several passes in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque 27 N*m (275 kgf*cm, 20 ft.*lbf)
If any of the bearing cap bolts cannot meet the torque specification, replace the bearing cap bolt.
Mark the front of the crankshaft bearing cap bolt's head with paint.
Retighten the crankshaft bearing cap bolts by 90° as shown in the illustration.
Check that the painted mark is now at a 90° angle to the front.
Connecting rod
Standard thrust clearance 0.160 to 0.290 mm (0.0063 to 0.0138 in.)
Maximum thrust clearance 0.35 mm (0.0138 in.)
Connecting rod thickness 22.880 to 22.920 mm (0.9008 to 0.9024 in.)
Standard oil clearance 0.005 to 0.011 mm (0.0002 to 0.0004 in.)

CONNECTING ROD CAP
Install and alternately tighten the 2 connecting rod cap bolts in several passes.
Torque 24.5 N*m (250 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf)
If any of the connecting rod cap bolts cannot meet the torque specification, replace the connecting rod cap bolts.
Mark the front of the connecting cap bolt with paint.
Retighten the cap bolts 90° as shown in the illustration.
Check that the painted mark is now at a 90° angle to the front.
Piston
Mark 1: Piston diameter 90.910 to 90.940 mm (3.5791 to 3.5803 in.)
Mark 2: Piston diameter 90.920 to 90.948 mm (3.5795 to 3.5806 in.)
