HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY

REMOVAL

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed given are for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH
5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH
6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER
7. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH

8. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY




a. Disconnect the connector as given in the illustration.




b. Remove the 3 bolts.
c. w/ Headlight Cleaner:
1. Disconnect the headlight cleaner hose.

d. Detach the claw and headlight.

9. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT




a. Remove the 3 screws and bumper side support.

10. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER




a. Turn the back cover in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

11. REMOVE HIGH-INTENSITY DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB




a. Turn the bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove the bulb socket.




b. Release the set spring lock as shown in the illustration and remove the bulb.

12. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB




a. Turn the No. 2 headlight bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

13. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB SOCKET




a. Turn the front turn signal light socket and the front turn signal light bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove them as a unit.

14. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB
a. Remove the front unit signal bulb from the front turn signal light socket.

15. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB SOCKET




a. Turn the clearance light socket and clearance light bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove them as a unit.

16. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB
a. Remove the clearance light bulb from the clearance light socket.

17. REMOVE FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT BULB SOCKET




a. Turn the front side marker light bulb socket and front side marker light bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove them as a unit.

18. REMOVE FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT BULB
a. Remove the front side marker light bulb from the front side marker light socket.

19. REMOVE LIGHT CONTROL ECU




a. Remove the screw and headlight protector.




b. Remove the 4 screws and ECU cover.
c. Remove the headlight gasket.




d. Disconnect the connector and remove the ECU.

INSTALLATION

HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed given are for the LH side.

1. INSTALL LIGHT CONTROL ECU




a. Attach the claw and install the light control ECU.




b. Install the 4 screws with the cover.




c. Install the headlight protector with the screw.

2. INSTALL FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT BULB
a. Install the front side marker light bulb to the front side marker light socket.

3. INSTALL FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT BULB SOCKET




a. Turn the front side marker light bulb socket and the front side marker light bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow and install them as a unit.

4. INSTALL CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB SOCKET




a. Turn the clearance light bulb socket and the clearance light bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow and install them as a unit.

5. INSTALL CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB
a. Install the clearance light bulb to the clearance light socket.

6. INSTALL FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB SOCKET




a. Turn the front turn signal light bulb socket and the front turn signal light bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow and install them as a unit.

7. INSTALL FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB
a. Install the front turn signal light bulb to the front turn signal light socket.

8. INSTALL NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB




a. Install the bulb into the light, and turn it in the direction indicated by the arrow.

9. INSTALL HIGH-INTENSITY DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB




a. Turn the back cover in the direction indicated by the arrow and install it.

10. INSTALL NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER




a. Turn the headlight back cover No. 1 in the direction indicated by the arrow and install it.

11. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT




a. Install the bumper side support with the 3 screws.

12. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY




a. Attach the claw and install the headlight with the 3 bolts.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)

b. w/ Headlight Cleaner: Connect the hose.




c. Connect the connector as shown in the illustration.

13. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
14. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER
15. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH
16. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH
17. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
18. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
19. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

20. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

21. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
22. VEHICLE PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIM ADJUSTMENT
23. HEADLIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT (LOW BEAM)
24. HEADLIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT (HIGH BEAM)
