Heated Oxygen Sensor
REMOVAL1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
2. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP
3. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE UPPER GARNISH
4. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL ASSEMBLY
5. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX PLATE
6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH
7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH
8. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)
a. Disconnect the sensor connector.
b. Remove the grommet and pass the sensor connector out of the cabin through the floor panel.
c. Using SST, remove the sensor from the front exhaust pipe.

9. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2)
a. Disconnect the sensor connector.
b. Remove the grommet and pass the sensor connector out of the cabin through the floor panel.
c. Using SST, remove the sensor from the front exhaust pipe.

INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2)
a. Using SST, install the sensor to the front exhaust pipe.

Torque:
40 N.m (408 kgf.cm, 30 ft.lbf) for use with SST
44 N.m (449 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf) for use without SST
HINT:
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 in).
- Make sure SST and wrench are connected in a straight line.
b. Pass the sensor connector through the floor panel and install the grommet.
c. Connect the sensor connector.
2. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2)
a. Using SST, install the sensor to the front exhaust pipe.

40 N.m (408 kgf.cm, 30 ft.lbf) for use with SST
44 N.m (449 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf) for not use without SST

b. Pass the sensor connector through the floor panel and install the grommet.
c. Connect the sensor connector.
3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH
4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH
5. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX PLATE
6. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER PANEL ASSEMBLY
7. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE UPPER GARNISH
8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
9. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP
10. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
