Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
3. REMOVE SKID CONTROL ECU
a. Disconnect the connector indicated in the illustration.
b. Remove the 3 bolts and ECU.
c. Pull the 2 lock levers upward to release the lock and disconnect the 2 connectors.
d. Disconnect the connector.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL SKID CONTROL ECU
a. Connect the 2 connectors and press the lock levers down to lock the connectors.
NOTE: Make sure that the lock levers securely lock the connectors.
b. Connect the connector.
c. Install the ECU with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 17 N.m (173 kgf.cm, 12 ft.lbf)
d. Connect the connector indicated in the illustration.
2. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH
3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
4. CHECK AND CLEAR DTC
a. Check and clear the DTCs.
5. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE SENSOR
a. Perform the zero point calibration of the yaw rate sensor.
6. PERFORM LINEAR VALVE OFFSET LEARNING
a. Perform the linear valve offset learning.
7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
