Acceleration/Deceleration Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH
2. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH
4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH
5. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX PLATE
6. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY
7. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX
8. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT




a. Remove the 2 clips and No. 2 duct.

9. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT




a. Remove the clip and No. 1 duct.

10. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR




a. Disconnect the sensor connector.
b. Disconnect the 2 wire harness clamps.
c. Remove the 2 bolts and sensor.

NOTE: Do not remove the sensor from the bracket.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR




a. Install the sensor with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 15 N.m (153 kgf.cm, 11 ft.lbf)

NOTE:
- Do not damage the sensor.
- Make sure that the sensor is installed securely.

b. Install the 2 wire harness clamps.
c. Connect the sensor connector.

2. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT




a. Install the No. 1 duct with the clip.

3. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT




a. Install the No. 2 duct with the 2 clips.

4. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX
5. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY
6. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX PLATE
7. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH
8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH
9. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER PANEL ASSEMBLY
10. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH
11. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION
a. Perform the yaw rate sensor zero point calibration. Programming and Relearning

12. CHECK YAW RATE SENSOR SIGNAL
a. Check the yaw rate sensor signal.
