DTC CHECK / CLEAR1. CHECK DTC (When Using Intelligent Tester)
(a) Prepare the intelligent tester.
(b) Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3 at the lower part of the instrument panel.
(1) Connect the intelligent tester to the Controller Area Network Vehicle Interface Module (CAN VIM). Then connect the CAN VIM to the Data Link Connector 3 (DLC3).
(c) Turn the power switch ON (IG) and turn the intelligent tester ON.
(d) Use the intelligent tester to check the DTCs and the freeze frame data, and note or print the results. (Refer to the operator's manual for operating instructions.)
2. CLEAR DTC (When Using Intelligent Tester)
(a) The following procedures clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.
(1) Operate the intelligent tester. (Refer to the operator's manual for operating instructions.)
3. DTC CHECK (When not Using Intelligent Tester)
HINT:
The master warning light comes on in diagnostic mode.
(a) Using SST check wire, connect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(c) "DIAG VGRS" is displayed on the multi-information display and the system starts searching for a malfunction.
(d) If the system is normal, "DIAG VGRS OK" is displayed.
(e) If the system has a malfunction, "DIAG VGRS xx" is displayed. ("xx" is a 2-digit DTC.)
4. CLEAR DTC (When not Using Intelligent Tester)
(a) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(b) Using SST check wire, connect and disconnect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3 4 times within 8 seconds.

(c) Disconnect SST check wire from the DLC3.
NOTICE:
The stored yaw rate sensor value will be cleared by the above operation.
Obtain the yaw rate sensor zero point.
(d) Turn the power switch OFF.
HINT:
If the problem still exists, DTCs may not be cleared.
(e) Obtain the yaw rate sensor zero point.
