Front Active Stabilizer Control ECU

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING RH
3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH
4. REMOVE NO. 2 COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT
a. Remove the 2 bolts and intake duct.

5. REMOVE FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU




a. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the 2 ground wires.
b. Disconnect the wire harness clamp from the bracket.
c. Using the procedures below, disconnect the ECU connector.
1. Release the lever's lock. (*1)
2. Press the claw and move the lever in the direction of the arrow in the illustration. (*2)
3. Disconnect the ECU connector. (*3)

NOTE: When disconnecting the ECU connector, do not apply excessive force to the wire harness.




d. Remove the bolt and 2 nuts, and disconnect the ECU from the body.
e. Disconnect the ECU connector.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU
a. Connect the ECU connector.

HINT: Connect the connector before installing the ECU.

b. Install the ECU with the bolt and 2 nuts.

Torque:
7 N.m (71 kgf.cm, 62 in.lbf) for nut

9 N.m (92 kgf.cm, 7 in.lbf) for bolt

c. Using the procedures below, connect the ECU connectors.
1. Connect the ECU connector.
2. Rotate the lever in the direction of the arrow until a "click" sound is heard.
3. Lock the lever's lock.

d. Install the 2 ground wires to the ECU with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf)

e. Connect the wire harness clamp to the bracket.

2. INSTALL NO. 2 COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT




a. Install the intake duct with the 2 bolts.

3. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH
4. INSTALL FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING RH
5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
a. Perform initialization.

NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
