Introduction

Some customers may experience a condition with their navigation system, where the vehicle icon is intermittently shown on the map in the wrong location. A special DVD map disc with a revised operating system has been developed to remedy this condition.

NOTE:
If the customer has purchased a Gen 5 update disc after November 1, 2006, then this TSIB is NOT applicable.

Applicable Vehicles

^ 2006 model year IS 250 and IS 350 vehicles equipped with the Lexus Navigation System produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown in this TSIB.

^ 2007 model year ES 350, GS 450h, GX 470, RX 350, and RX 400h vehicles equipped with the Lexus Navigation System produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown in this TSIB.





Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

The map disc supplier part number changed to 5-464210-092. Refer to the following illustration to locate the supplier's part number (directly below the OEM part number):

Repair Procedure

1. Order a navigation map disc through DENSO by calling 1-888-668-2900.

When ordering this special map disc, provide DENSO the TSIB number, dealer code, and vehicle information.

2. Replace the navigation map disc.

Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model year and model Repair Manual, Audio/visual/Telematics - Navigation/Multi Info Display - "Navigation: Navigation ECU: Removal" and "Navigation: Navigation ECU: Installation".

3. Cut the original navigation map disc in half and dispose of it.
