Cylinder Head Assembly: Specifications
CYLINDER HEAD SUB-ASSEMBLYRH Bank:
Install and uniformly tighten the 10 cylinder head bolts, and plate washers in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque 59 N*m (602 kgf*cm, 44 ft.*lbf)
Mark the front of each cylinder head bolt's head with paint.
Tighten the cylinder head bolts another 90° in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Check that the painted mark is now at a 90° angle to the front.
CYLINDER HEAD LH
LH Bank:
Install and uniformly tighten the 10 cylinder head bolts and plate washers in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque 59 N*m (602 kgf*cm, 44 ft.*lbf)
Mark the front of each cylinder head bolt's head with paint.
Tighten the cylinder head bolts another 90° in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Check that the painted mark is now at a 90° angle to the front.
Cylinder head set bolt
Standard outside diameter 9.770 to 9.960 mm (0.3846 to 0.3921 in.)
Minimum outside diameter 9.70 mm (0.3819 in.)
Cylinder head
Cylinder block side: Maximum warpage 0.05 mm (0.0020 in.)
Intake manifold side: Maximum warpage 0.10 mm (0.0039 in.)
Exhaust manifold side: Maximum warpage 0.10 mm (0.0039 in.)
INTAKE MANIFOLD
Install the intake manifold assembly with the 6 bolts and 4 nuts.
Torque 18 N*m (184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf)
CAMSHAFT BEARING CAP
Uniformly tighten the 22 bearing cap bolts in several passes in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque for bolts 21 and 22 7.5 N*m (76 kgf*cm, 66 ft.*lbf)
Torque for other bolts 16 N*m (163 kgf*cm, 12 ft.*lbf)
EXHAUST MANIFOLD LH
Install the exhaust manifold with 8 new nuts. Uniformly tighten the nuts in several passes.
Torque 44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf)

Install the exhaust manifold with 8 new nuts. Uniformly tighten the nuts in several passes.
