EXTERIOR: FRONT BUMPER: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL






(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 7 clips and cool air intake duct seal.
2. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY






(a) Put protective tape around the front bumper assembly.
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.





(b) Remove the 2 screws.
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.





(c) Using a screwdriver, turn the pins 90 degrees and remove the 2 pin hold clips.
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.





(d) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
(e) Remove the 5 bolts and 10 screws.






(f) Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the front bumper assembly.
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

(g) Disconnect each connector, and then remove the front bumper assembly.
3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER






(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips.
(b) Remove the 10 screws and engine under cover.
4. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER






(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
(b) Disengage the 4 clips and the radiator support opening cover.
5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER






(a) Remove the front bumper energy absorber.
6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT (w/o Headlight Cleaner System)






(a) Disengage the clamp and disconnect the cooler thermistor from the front bumper reinforcement.
(b) Remove the 6 bolts and front bumper reinforcement.
7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)






(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 5 clamps and separate the headlight cleaner hose.






(b) Disengage the clamp and disconnect the cooler thermistor from the front bumper reinforcement.
(c) Remove the 6 bolts and front bumper reinforcement.
8. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH






(a) Remove the screw.
(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front bumper side retainer LH.
9. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
