INSTRUMENT PANEL: INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION
HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Attach the 5 clips to install the safety pad.
(b) Connect the connectors and clamps.
(c) Install the 2 bolts to the passenger airbag.
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)
(d) Install the 4 bolts, nut and 2 clips.
(e) Install the center junction block RH and LH with the 4 nuts.









(f) w/ Navigation System:
Install the navigation ECU.
(1) Connect the connector.
(2) Install the ECU with the 3 bolts.

5. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Attach the 2 clips and claw to install the glove compartment door.
(b) Connect the connector and clamp.
(c) Install the 4 screws.
6. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation

7. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Connect the connector and clamp.
(b) Attach the 4 clips to install the under cover.
8. INSTALL INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY






(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Attach the 2 claws to install the control panel.
(c) Install the 2 screws.
9. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation

10. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Install the hood lock control cable to the safety pad.
(c) Attach the 3 clips and 5 claws to install the safety pad.
11. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Connect the connectors.
(b) Attach the 3 claws.
(c) Install the under cover with the 2 screws.
12. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH






(a) Attach the 2 claws and 4 clips to install the side panel.
13. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH






(a) Attach the 2 claws and 4 clips to install the side panel.
14. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY






(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Install the combination meter with the 4 screws.
15. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY






(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Attach the 5 clips to install the cluster finish panel.
16. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX






(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Install the console box with the 4 bolts and 2 screws.
17. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY






(a) Attach the 4 clips to install the register.
18. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX PLATE






(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Attach the 4 clips to install the console box.






19. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH
(a) Attach the 4 clips and 3 claws to install the finish panel end.
(b) Install the screw.
20. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH






(a) Attach the 3 clips and 3 claws to install the finish panel end.
(b) Install the screw.
21. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER PANEL ASSEMBLY






(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Attach the 9 clips to install the console upper panel.






(c) Install the shift lever knob and turn it in the direction indicated by the arrow.
22. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH
(a) Attach the claws to install the garnish.
23. INSTALL HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Installation

24. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Installation

25. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE WITH STEERING SENSOR Installation

26. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER UPPER Installation

27. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER LOWER Installation

28. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY Installation

29. INSTALL STEERING PAD Installation

30. INSTALL NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER
31. INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER
32. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH Installation

33. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH Installation

34. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Installation

35. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Installation

36. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
37. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

38. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Inspect the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
