WIRING DIAGRAM
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER METER OPERATION)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the tester ON.
(d) Enter following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
(e) Check the operation by referring to the table below.
Combination Meter:
OK:
Needle indication is normal.
(f) Check the input signal waveform.
(1) Disconnect the K31 meter connector.
(2) Connect the oscilloscope to the terminals PMET and body ground.
(3) Start the engine.
(4) Check the signal waveform according to the condition(s) in the table below.
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK COMBINATION METER (PMT1 SIGNAL)
(a) Disconnect the K31 meter connector.
(b) Connect the oscilloscope to the terminals PMET and body ground.
(c) Start the engine.
(d) Check the signal waveform according to the condition(s) in the table below.
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COMBINATION METER - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the K31 meter connector.
(b) Disconnect the A54 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
