INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (HEADLIGHT)
(a) Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the headlight assembly illuminates.
Body No. 5 (Front light ECU)
OK:
Headlight illuminates.
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT FUSE (H-LP UPR, FR CTRL-B)
(a) Remove the FR CTRL-B and FR CTRL-B fuses from the engine room No. 1 relay block.
(b) Measure the resistance of the fuses.
Standard resistance:
Below 1 Ohms
NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. REPLACE HEADLIGHT NO. 1 BULB (RH OR LH)
(a) Temporarily replace the headlight No. 1 bulb with a new or normally functioning one.
(b) Check that the bulb illuminates.
OK:
Headlight No. 1 bulb illuminates.
OK -- END
NG -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - BATTERY)
(a) Disconnect the 1Y ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - HEADLIGHT AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Check the wire harness between the headlight (LH) and front light ECU, and headlight (LH) and body ground.
(1) Disconnect the 1Z ECU connector.
(2) Disconnect the B11 headlight connector.
(3) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
(b) Check the wire harness between the headlight (RH) and front light ECU, and headlight (RH) and body ground.
(1) Disconnect the 1Z ECU connector.
(2) Disconnect the B2 headlight connector.
(3) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
