Room Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU LH receives information regarding the door courtesy switch, door lock position switch, power switch, and turns on the front room light.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SEAT LIGHT)
(a) Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the seat light illuminates.

Body No. 3 (Main body ECU LH)





OK:
Seat light illuminates.
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MAIN BODY ECU - MAP LIGHT)





(a) Disconnect the V1 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the W6 light connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT FUSE (DOME, D/C CUT)
(a) Remove the DOME and D/C CUT fuses from the engine room No. 1 relay block.
(b) Measure the resistance of the fuses.
Standard resistance:
Below 1 Ohms
NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MAP LIGHT - BATTERY)





(a) Disconnect the W6 junction block connector.
(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MAP LIGHT - BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect the W6 junction block connector.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MAP LIGHT - MAP LIGHT)





(a) Disconnect the W6 and W11 light connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. REPLACE MAP LIGHT
(a) Temporarily replace the map light with a new or normally functioning one.
(b) Check that the light illuminates.
OK:
Map light illuminates.
OK -- END
NG -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
