- Use the table below to help determine the cause of the problem symptom. The potential causes of the symptoms are listed in order of probability in the "Suspected area" column of the table. Check each symptom by checking the suspected areas in the order they are listed. Replace parts as necessary.
- Inspect the fuse and relay related to this system before inspecting the suspected areas below.

HINT:
- *1: When the AFS indicator light does not turn on or blink despite the symptom being indicated, check the battery voltage.
- *2: Check if the headlight swivel motor turns smoothly by hand. If the motor does not turn, replace it with a new one. If the motor still does not turn, replace the headlight with a new one.
- *3: Before the inspection, check that the AFS OFF switch is not pushed.
