TIRE AND WHEEL: TIRE AND WHEEL SYSTEM: INSPECTION

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT TIRE
(a) Check the tires for wear and proper inflation pressure.
Standard cold tire inflation pressure:










(b) Using a dial indicator, check the runout of the tires.
Standard tire runout:
1.0 mm (0.039 in.) or less






2. ROTATE TIRE
HINT: If the rotating direction of the tires is specified, rotate the tires as shown in illustration "A". If the rotating direction of the tires is not specified, rotate the tires as shown in illustration "B".

3. INSPECT WHEEL BALANCE





(a) Check and adjust the off-the-car balance.






(b) If necessary, check and adjust the on-the-car balance using a LEXUS genuine sticking type balance weight.
Standard imbalance after adjustment:
8.0 g (0.018 lb.) or less.
- Using a cleaning detergent, remove dirt, oil and water from the areas shown in the illustration.
- Do not touch the adhesive part of the balance weight.
- Adhere the balance weight to the areas shown in the illustration.
- Push the balance weight securely with your fingers to attach it.
- Do not reuse the balance weight.
