Removal








BRAKE CONTROL: FRONT SPEED SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
CAUTION: When the brake caliper is removed from the brake disc, do not start the hybrid system. If the hybrid system is started, the brake fluid pressure may increase.

1. TURN POWER SWITCH OFF
(a) Turn the power switch OFF, and check that the "READY" indicator turns off.
2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
3. DISCONNECT CONNECTOR






(a) Disconnect the connector from the front speed sensor LH.
- Be careful not to damage the speed sensor.
- Prevent foreign matter from adhering to the speed sensor.

4. DISCONNECT FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT DISC Disassembly

6. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH
(a) Install the 3 hub bolts. Placing an aluminum plate below the hub and bearing, hold them in a vise.
NOTE: Replace the hub and bearing if it is dropped or receives a strong shock.

(b) Using a pin punch (3 mm) or hammer, remove the 2 pins from the SST (09520-00031) and separate the attachment (09521-00010).

(c) Using SST and 2 bolts (90101-12007), remove the sensor from the hub and bearing.

- Keep the sensor away from magnets.
- Pull the sensor off straight, taking care not to make contact with the sensor rotor.
- If the sensor rotor is damaged or deformed, replace the hub and bearing assembly.
- Do not scratch the area where the sensor contacts the hub and bearing.
- Do not attach foreign matter to the sensor rotor.
