TC and CG Terminal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The DTC output mode is set by connecting terminals TC and CG of DLC3.
The DTCs are displayed through blinking patterns of the absorber control indicator light.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
- When replacing the absorber control ECU, check the acceleration sensor signal after replacement Test Mode Procedure.
- If the hybrid control ECU has been replaced, it is necessary to register the ECU Programming and Relearning.
HINT: Check the condition of each related circuit connector before troubleshooting Electronic Circuit Inspection Procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DLC3 (TC VOLTAGE)

(a) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:

NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DLC3 - HYBRID CONTROL ECU)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DLC3 - HYBRID CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the A54 hybrid control ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (TC TERMINAL CIRCUIT)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK FOR DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
(a) Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output Adaptive Variable Suspension System.
Result:

C -- REPAIR CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS
B -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
A -- REPLACE ABSORBER CONTROL ECU
4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DLC3 - HYBRID CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the A54 hybrid control ECU connector.

(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (TC TERMINAL CIRCUIT)
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DLC3 - BODY GROUND)

(a) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GND CIRCUIT)
OK -- Continue to next step.
6. CHECK DLC3 (TC TERMINAL INPUT)

(a) Using SST, connect the terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DCL3.
SST: 09843-18040
(b) Check that the engine and ABS warning lights are blinking.
Result:

B -- REPLACE HYBRID CONTROL ECU
A -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK FOR DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
(a) Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output Adaptive Variable Suspension System.
Result:

C -- REPAIR CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS
B -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
A -- REPLACE ABSORBER CONTROL ECU
