Introduction
Some customers may experience an intermittent climate control system odor. An A/C amplifier logic improvement non-charcoal interior cabin filter and improved evaporator sub-assembly have been made available to decrease this odor in the vehicle.
Production Change Information
This TSIB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown.
Warranty Information
APPLICABLE WARRANTY
^ This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
^ Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this bulletin.

Repair Procedure B
1. Remove and replace the A/C amplifier.
Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS) 2006 model year GS 300 or GS 430 Repair Manual: Air Conditioning: Air Conditioning Amplifier: Components / Removal / Installation.
2. Reinitialize the power Systems of the vehicle. Refer to TSIB No. PD009-06, "Power System Initialization During PDS".
Clean Air Filter Replacement Procedures
1. Turn the air intake control to recirculated air mode
NOTE
The filter case cannot be removed from the vehicle when the air intake is set to fresh air mode
2. Turn the vehicle "OFF"
3. Open the glove box and remove the partition by pulling it toward you.
4. Pull the filter cover toward you.
5. Push the tabs and pull the filter case toward you.
6. Take out the filter.
7. Remove the filter from the filter case.
8. Install the NEW filter and reassemble in reverse order of disassembly.
NOTE
When installing the filter to the filter case, the UP marks on the filter and filter case should be observed and fitted as shown.
