Wiper and Washer Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit provides power to operate the windshield wiper switch. The manual operation signals are sent to the main body ECU LH.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
(c) Select the items below in the Data List, and read the displays on the Techstream.

Combination Switch (Windshield wiper switch):

OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (COMBINATION SWITCH)

(a) Measure the voltage of the connector.
Standard voltage:

OK -- REPLACE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (COMBINATION SWITCH)
NG -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SWITCH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the K22 switch connector.
(b) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
