DTC B14F2 - Seat Heater Temperature Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

Output to the rear cushion cover's temperature sensor stops if one of the following occurs: 1) the temperature sensor is open or shorted; or 2) the temperature sensor is damaged and its output value does not change.

(a) Remove the e42 cushion cover connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER LH
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER LH)





(a) Disconnect the e35 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the e42 cushion cover connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU
5. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM (SEAT HEATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR)
(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the temperature sensor.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER RH)





(a) Disconnect the e3 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the e9 cushion cover connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- Continue to next step.
10. INSPECT REAR SEATBACK COVER LH





(a) Disconnect the Y cushion cover connector.
(b) Disconnect the f23 seatback cover connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE REAR SEATBACK COVER LH
OK -- Continue to next step.
11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - REAR SEATBACK COVER LH)





(a) Disconnect the f27 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the f23 seatback cover connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
