Rear Door Closer LH does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The rear multiplex network door ECU LH receives rear door closer LH signals, and activates the rear door closer motor LH.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION
(a) Check the power door lock control function Power Door Lock Control System.
OK:
Each function of power door lock control system operates normally using master switch.
NG -- Go to POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH - REAR DOOR CLOSER LH)





(a) Disconnect the O13 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the O20 closer connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (REAR DOOR CLOSER LH)
(a) Remove the rear door lock LH Removal.





(b) Set the door closer to the half-latch position.
(c) Apply battery voltage to the lock motor connector and check the closer operation.
OK:






NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (REAR DOOR CLOSER LH)
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK REAR MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH (OPERATION)
(a) Temporarily replace the rear door ECU LH with a new or normally functioning one Components.
(b) Check the door closer operation Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
OK:
Door closer operation is normal.
NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (REAR DOOR CLOSER LH)
OK -- END (REAR MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH IS DEFECTIVE)
