EXTERIOR: RADIATOR GRILLE: DISASSEMBLY

DISASSEMBLY





1. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR
(a) Using a clip remover, detach the 9 clips and remove the protector.






2. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE OUTSIDE
(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
(b) Detach the 16 claws and remove the radiator grille outside.
3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM
(a) Put protective tape around the emblem.
(b) Using a heat light, heat the emblem and radiator grill.
Standard heating temperature:





NOTE: Do not heat the radiator grille and emblem excessively.





(c) Insert a piano wire between the radiator grille and emblem.
(d) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.
(e) Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the emblem to the radiator grille.
HINT: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(f) Remove the emblem.
4. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE (OR FRONT PANEL) EMBLEM (w/ Pre-collision System)






(a) Remove the 2 spring nuts.






(b) Detach the claw and remove the emblem.
