Cruise Main Indicator Light Circuit
DESCRIPTION
- When the hybrid vehicle control ECU detects a cruise control switch signal, it sends it to the combination meter through CAN communication. Then the CRUISE main indicator light turns on.
- The CRUISE main indicator light circuit uses CAN communication. If there is a malfunction in this circuit, check for DTCs in the CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM (CRUISE MAIN INDICATOR LIGHT)
(a) Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(c) Turn the tester switch on.
(d) Select the following menu items:
(1) Intelligent tester - DIAGNOSIS / OBD/MOBD / METER / ACTIVE TEST.
(2) Techstream - Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
(e) Select the item below in the ACTIVE TEST and then check the CRUISE main indicator light operation.
(1) Intelligent tester
METER
(2) Techstream
Combination Meter
OK:
CRUISE main indicator light turns on / turns off.
NG -- GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM (CRUISE MAIN INDICATOR LIGHT)
(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the CRUISE main indicator light.

OK:
When cruise control switch operation is performed, the result will be the same as above.
NG -- REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
