TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS













Stud Bolt

NOTE: If the Stud bolts are deformed or their threads are damaged, replace them.

Cylinder Head Set Bolt





Using a vernier caliper, measure the minimum diameter of the elongated thread at the measuring point.

Measuring point:
90 mm (3.54 in.) for intake side bolt
85 mm (3.35 in.) for exhaust side bolt
Standard outside diameter:
10.85 to 11.00 mm (0.427 to 0.433 in.)
Minimum outside diameter:
10.6 mm (0.417 in.)
If the diameter is less than the minimum, replace the cylinder head set bolt.

HINT: If a visual check reveals no excessively thin areas, check the center of the bolt (see illustration) and find the area that has the lowest diameter.


Intake Manifold





Uniformly tighten the bolts and nuts in the order shown in the illustration.
Torque: 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)


Crankshaft Pulley
Torque: 300 Nm (3059 kgf-cm, 221 ft-lbf)

Oil pump





Oil pump cover, drive rotor and driven rotor with the 13 bolts.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

Exhaust Manifold LH





NOTE: Be careful of the installation direction.





Uniformly tighten 8 new nuts in several steps, in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque: 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)





Exhaust Manifold RH





NOTE: Be careful of the installation direction.





Uniformly tighten 8 new nuts in several steps, in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque: 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)


Water Pump





Install water pump and a new gasket with the 9 bolts as shown the illustration.
For bolt A - Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)
For bolt B - Torque: 23 Nm (235 kgf-cm, 17 ft-lbf)
For bolt C - Torque: 47 Nm (479 kgf-cm, 35 ft-lbf)
