Installation








BRAKE CONTROL: STEERING ANGLE SENSOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION
NOTE: While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is OFF, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal or open/close the doors while the battery is connected.

1. INSTALL STEERING ANGLE SENSOR






(a) Align the pins on the spiral cable with the installation holes on the steering sensor.
(b) Attach the 6 claws and install the steering sensor to the spiral cable.

3. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (w/o Driver Monitor Camera) Installation

4. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (w/ Driver Monitor Camera) Installation

5. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY Installation

6. INSTALL STEERING PAD Installation

7. INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER Installation

8. INSTALL SWITCH AND VOLUME CASE Installation

9. INSPECT STEERING PAD Installation

10. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP Installation

11. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER Hybrid Battery Service Switch

12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
- Reset the AUTO TILT AWAY function setting to the previous condition by changing the customize parameter Repair Instruction - Customize Parameters.
- When reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal after installing the steering sensor, check that the front tires and steering wheel are kept aligned straight ahead before and after connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

15. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Check the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
