SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: REAR AIRBAG SENSOR: REMOVAL
REMOVAL
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Battery
3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
- After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat) Removal
5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman)
(a) Remove the rear seat cushion assembly LH Removal.
(b) Remove the rear seat cushion assembly RH Removal.
6. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type) Removal
7. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat) Removal
8. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY CENTER (for Power Seat) Removal
9. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman)
(a) Remove the rear seatback assembly LH Removal.
(b) Remove the rear seatback assembly RH Removal.
10. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Fixed Seat Type) Removal
11. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal
12. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH Removal
13. REMOVE REAR AIRBAG SENSOR
(a) Remove the bolt and rear airbag sensor.
(b) Disconnect the connector.
