Service Precautions

- Precaution should be taken to prevent any foreign objects from entering the waterproof parts of the removed inverter terminals (Figure 1).

- After removal of the motor and generator cables, install the inverter terminal cover and cover the hole where the cables were connected with tape (non-residue type) or equivalent (Figure 2).
- When servicing the inverter assembly, permanent damage may occur when attempting to remove the inverter coolant hoses No. 1 and No. 2.
- The coolant pipes attached to the inverter assembly are made of aluminum and may be damaged during hose removal.

- Disconnect the coolant hoses at the reservoir tank and coolant pipe locations (A) shown in Figure 3.

Replacement inverter assemblies are shipped with these hoses pre-installed so removal of the inverter side of the hose is NOT necessary.

- Place and secure plastic bags around the ends of the hoses (A) to prevent coolant from spilling.

NOTE
Refer to the Repair Manual within E-TAS / TIS library, applicable model year LS 600h for complete disassembly and reassembly procedures.
