Headlight Cleaner Switch Circuit
WIPER AND WASHER: WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM: Headlight Cleaner Switch Circuit
Headlight Cleaner Switch Circuit
DESCRIPTION
This circuit detects the conditions of the headlight control rheostat.
The headlight cleaner control relay receives the following signals through the CAN line:
- Headlight control rheostat signal
- Headlight operating signal
- Daytime running light operating signal
- Front washer motor operating signal

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (HDLC SIGNAL)
(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEAD LIGHT CONTROL RELAY - FRONT CONTROLLER)
(a) Disconnect the A6 relay connector.
(b) Disconnect the A51 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK FRONT CONTROLLER (H SIGNAL)
(a) Reconnect the A51 front controller connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
NG -- REPLACE FRONT CONTROLLER
OK -- REPLACE HEADLIGHT CLEANER CONTROL RELAY
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the L8 rheostat connector.
(b) Disconnect the L13 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT (HEADLIGHT CLEANER SWITCH)
(a) Reconnect the L8 rheostat connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
NG -- REPLACE LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT (HEADLIGHT CLEANER SWITCH)
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
