AFS ECU Power Source Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the state of the engine switch. The AFS ECU receives it from the engine switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (ECU-IG NO. 2 OR H-LP LVL)
(a) Remove the ECU-IG No. 2 fuse or H-LP LVL fuse from the instrument panel junction block assembly.
(b) Measure the resistance of the fuse.
Standard resistance:
Below 1 Ohms
NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT AFS ECU




(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (AFS ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the A22 AFS ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE AFS ECU
