APPLICABILITY:

INTRODUCTION:
Some 2007 - 2009 ES350 vehicles may exhibit a pop noise from the rear seat area. This may be due to insufficiently torqued nuts and / or bolts on the Room Partition Panel behind the rear seat. Use the following procedure to address this condition.

This TSB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown.






WARRANTY INFORMATION:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove rear seat assembly. For complete removal procedures, refer to the E-TAS / TIS library applicable model year Repair Manual:
2007 / 2008 / 2009 Vehicle Interior - Seat -"Rear Seat Assembly: Removal"






2. Verify the torque of the 4 nuts and 2 bolts retaining the Room Partition Panel.

Torque: 28 N-m (3 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf)

3. Reinstall rear seat assembly. For complete reassembly procedures, refer to the E-TAS / TIS library applicable model year Repair Manual:
2007 / 2008 / 2009 Vehicle Interior - Seat - "Rear Seat Assembly: Reassembly"
4. Test drive vehicle to confirm noise is no longer present.
