ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER AND CLOSER SYSTEM: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1. CHECK LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR CLOSER SYSTEM
(a) Open the luggage compartment door so that it is slightly ajar (luggage door courtesy switch OFF and door open/close detection switch OFF). Check that the motor starts operating and fully closes (fully locks) the door.
(b) Open the luggage compartment door so that it is slightly ajar (luggage door courtesy switch OFF and door open/close detection switch OFF). When the motor starts operating, perform the luggage door opening operation by turning on any of the following switches: 1)power luggage door open switch, 2) the transmitter's trunk switch, or 3) luggage door opener switch. Check that the motor stops its operation and starts rotating reverse (starts opening). As a result, the luggage door should not be in the fully closed position.
2. CHECK LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER SYSTEM
(a) Push the power luggage door open switch. Check that the luggage compartment door is opened.
(b) When the key is not in the detection area, Check that pushing the power luggage door open switch does not open the luggage compartment door.
3. CHECK LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING SWITCH (CANCELLATION FUNCTION)
(a) When the luggage door opening switch is not pushed, check that the luggage compartment door cannot be opened by using the power luggage door open switch and luggage door opener switch.
HINT:
- When the luggage door opening switch is not pushed, the luggage compartment door can be opened only by using the key.
- When a vehicle is shipped from a factory, the luggage door opening switch is pushed.
