SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
HINT: Use the same procedures for the LH and RH side.

1. REMOVE SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP





(a) Disengage the 6 guides and remove the seat belt anchor cover cap as shown in the illustration.
2. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY
(a) Move the seat using the power seat switch knob so that the seat belt anchor bolt is revealed.





(b) Remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly.
3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER
(a) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.





(b) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat track bracket covers.
4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT TRACK REAR OUTER COVER
(a) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the foremost position.





(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat track rear outer cover.
5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT TRACK REAR INNER COVER





(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat track rear inner cover.
6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.
(b) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.
(c) Remove the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.
(d) Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the center position. Also, Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seatback to the upright position.
(e) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system Service Precautions.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

(f) Disconnect the connectors under the seat.
(g) Remove the front seat assembly.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
