2. INSTALL REAR DISC
(a) While aligning the matchmarks, install the rear disc.
HINT: When replacing the rear disc with a new one, select the installation position where the rear disc has the minimum runout.
3. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE Adjustments
4. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG
5. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP
6. INSTALL PISTON SEAL
(a) Apply a light layer of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of a new piston seal.
(b) Install the piston seal to the rear disc brake cylinder assembly.
7. INSTALL CYLINDER BOOT
(a) Apply a light layer of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of the rear disc brake piston and a new cylinder boot.
(b) Install the cylinder boot to the rear disc brake piston as shown in the illustration.
8. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE PISTON
(a) Install the cylinder boot to the disc brake caliper.
NOTICE:
Install the boot securely to the grooves of the disc brake caliper.
(b) Push in the piston by hand and install the cylinder boot onto the grooves of the piston.
NOTICE:
Install the boot securely to the grooves of the piston.
9. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER SLIDE BUSH
(a) Apply a light layer of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of the rear disc brake cylinder slide pin.
(b) Apply a light layer of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of a new rear disc brake cylinder slide bush.
(c) Install the rear disc brake cylinder slide bush to the rear disc brake cylinder assembly.
NOTICE:
Install the cylinder slide bush securely to the groove of the rear disc brake cylinder assembly.
10. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE BUSH DUST BOOT
(a) Apply a light layer of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of a new rear disc brake bush dust boot.
NOTICE:
Apply a sufficient amount of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of the rear disc brake bush dust boot and rear disc brake cylinder assembly contact surfaces.
