Door Courtesy Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU RH detects the condition of each door courtesy switch and sends a signal to each door ECU via the multiplex communication system.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: The procedure is the same for each door courtesy switch circuit. First, inspect the suspected door courtesy switch circuit.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)
(a) Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the courtesy switch.

C -- INSPECT REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH
B -- INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH RH
A -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH LH
(a) Inspect the front door courtesy light switch Front Door Courtesy Switch.
OK:
Door courtesy light switch is normal.
NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH LH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH LH)




(a) Disconnect the U1 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the V7 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
4. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH RH
(a) Inspect the front door courtesy light switch Front Door Courtesy Switch.
OK:
Door courtesy light switch is normal.
NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH RH
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH RH)




(a) Disconnect the K68 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the U4 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
6. INSPECT REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH
(a) Inspect the rear door courtesy light switch Rear Door Courtesy Switch.
OK:
Door courtesy light switch is normal.
NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR COURTESY SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)




(a) Check the wire harness between the main body ECU RH and rear door courtesy light switch LH.
(1) Disconnect the DA ECU connector.
(2) Disconnect the V13 switch connector.
(3) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:









(b) Check the wire harness between the main body ECU RH and rear door courtesy light switch RH.
(1) Disconnect the U1 ECU connector.
(2) Disconnect the U11 switch connector.
(3) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
