TC and CG Terminal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

DTC output mode is set by connecting terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.
The DTCs are displayed by blinking the SRS warning light.
HINT:
- Make sure that DTC B1281 has not been output. If DTC B1281 has been output, refer to the multiplex communication system.
- When each warning light keeps blinking, a short to ground in the wiring of terminal TC of the DLC3 or an internal ground short in each ECU is suspected.
- The DTC output mode signal is transmitted through the BEAN to the center airbag sensor and each ECU, except for the skid control ECU with actuator. When all systems except the VSC system do not enter DTC output mode, the ECM may have a malfunction.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
If the hybrid control ECU has been replaced, it is necessary to register the ECU Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DLC3 - HYBRID CONTROL ECU)




(a) Disconnect the connector from the hybrid control ECU.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DLC3 - BODY GROUND)




(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TC OF HYBRID CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the connector from the hybrid control ECU.




(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. REPLACE HYBRID CONTROL ECU
(a) Replace the hybrid control ECU.
(b) Check the DTC of the hybrid control ECU Removal.
