SUSPENSION CONTROL: ADAPTIVE VARIABLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM: DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
1. DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
(a) Inspect the battery voltage.
Battery voltage:
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.
(b) Check DLC3.
The absorber control ECU uses the CAN system and ISO 15765-4 for communication. The terminal arrangement of the DCL3 complies with SAE J1962 and matches the ISO 15765-4 format.
Verify the conditions listed in the table below:
NOTICE:
*: Before measuring the resistance, leave the vehicle as is for at least 1 minute and do not operate the power switch, any other switches or the doors.
If the result is not as specified, the DLC3 may have a malfunction. Repair or replace the harness and connector.
HINT: Connect the cable of Techstream to the DLC3, turn the power switch ON (IG) and attempt to use the tester. If the display indicates that a communication error has occurred, there is a problem either with the vehicle or with the tester.
- If communication is normal when the tester is connected to another vehicle, inspect the DLC3 of the original vehicle.
- If communication is still not possible when the tester is connected to another vehicle, the problem may be in the tester itself. Consult the Service Department listed in the tester's instruction manual.
(c) DTCs (Normal mode)
(1) DTCs are memorized in the absorber control ECU and read by using Techstream Adaptive Variable Suspension System.
(d) Test Mode (SIGNAL CHECK)
(1) By switching from normal mode into Test Mode, you can inspect the absorber control switch and each acceleration sensor Test Mode Procedure.
(e) Check the absorber control indicator light.
(1) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(2) Check that the absorber control indicator light comes on for 2 seconds.
If the indicator light check result is not normal, proceed to troubleshooting for the absorber control indicator light circuit below.
