L110 HYBRID TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR: INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR
(a) Install the shift lever position sensor to the transmission.
(b) Temporarily install the 2 bolts.
HINT: Fully tighten the bolts with the neutral alignment mark line aligned with the groove. [*1]
(c) Install a new lock washer and the nut.
Torque: 6.9 Nm (70 kgf-cm, 61in-lbf)
(d) Temporarily install the control shaft lever.
HINT: Stake the claws of the nut stopper before fully tightening the nut. [*2]
(e) Turn the control shaft lever counterclockwise until it stops. Next, turn the control shaft lever clockwise 2 notches to set it to the N position.
(f) Remove the transmission control shaft lever.
(g) Align the neutral alignment mark line with the switch groove, and tighten the 2 adjusting bolts. [*1]
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48in-lbf)
(h) Using a screwdriver, bend the lock washer tabs to secure the nut.
NOTICE:
Make sure that the nut is held firmly.
(i) Install the transmission control shaft lever with the nut. [*2]
Torque: 16 Nm (163 kgf-cm, 12ft-lbf)
(j) Connect the shift lever position sensor connector.
2. INSTALL REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Tilt up the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
(b) Install the rear engine mounting insulator to the body with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 26 Nm (260 kgf-cm, 19ft-lbf)
3. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Move the shift lever to the N position and tighten the nut while lightly pushing the lever toward the R position.
Torque: 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9ft-lbf)
NOTICE:
Do not push the shift lever too hard.
4. INSTALL OIL COOLER TUBE Installation
5. INSTALL PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY Installation
6. FULLY TIGHTEN NO. 1 CENTER SUPPORT BEARING ASSEMBLY Installation
7. INSPECT AND ADJUST NO. 2 AND NO. 3 JOINT ANGLE Installation
8. INSTALL AIR GUIDE PLATE OUTSIDE RH
(a) Install the air guide plate outside RH with the 4 nuts.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48in-lbf)
9. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR Installation
10. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER RH
(a) Install the front floor cover center RH with the 3 grommets.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48in-lbf)
11. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY Installation
12. INSTALL REAR FLOOR NO. 1 PANEL BRACE Installation
13. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR BRACE CENTER Installation
14. INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR
(a) Install the heated oxygen sensor Installation.
15. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY Installation
16. INSTALL THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY Installation
17. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE Installation
18. INSTALL NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE Installation
19. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
20. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH Installation
21. INSTALL FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH Installation
22. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Installation
23. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Installation
24. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH Installation
25. INSTALL FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR RH Installation
26. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
27. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Installation
28. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
29. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair
30. ADD TRANSMISSION FLUID
(a) Add transmission fluid Procedures.
31. INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection
32. CHECK ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL Testing and Inspection
33. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK Installation
34. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION Adjustments
35. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION Adjustments
36. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER OPERATION Adjustments
37. CHECK FUNCTION OF THROTTLE BODY On-Vehicle Inspection
38. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER Installation
39. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Installation
40. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Installation
41. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
42. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation
43. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTICE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
